New Mirroring Modes

Scrcpy GUI v3 introduces multiple source options:

  • Screen Mirroring

  • Camera Mirroring (Front and Back camera)

  • Desktop Mode (Android 16+ and supported Samsung devices)

This makes it more than just a basic Android screen mirroring tool. You can use your phone camera as a webcam or even try desktop-style mode directly from Windows.

OTG / HID Keyboard and Mouse Support

One of the most powerful additions is OTG-style input support over USB.

You can control your Android phone using your PC’s mouse and keyboard. Your phone detects them as real input devices, making it perfect for productivity and even supported mobile games.

You can also launch pure OTG mode without screen mirroring.

Recording, Borderless & Fullscreen Options

Scrcpy GUI v3 adds more display controls:

  • Borderless window mode

  • Fullscreen mode

  • Built-in screen recording

These features are especially useful for YouTubers, developers, and gamers who want to record Android screen on PC easily.

Wireless Improvements & APK Installation

The new version improves USB and wireless connection tips, with QR pairing in development. APK installation support is also included, allowing you to install Android apps directly from the GUI without using terminal commands.

Smaller and More Efficient

Unlike the larger Electron-based build, Scrcpy GUI v3 aims to be more lightweight and optimized. This means faster launch times, smaller download size, and better performance.

If you’re already using Scrcpy GUI v2, version 3 will be a serious upgrade. Stay tuned for the official release.
