Why I’m Done Switching to Different Web Browsers

A few days ago, I made a video where I claimed that Opera Air had become my new favorite browser. Well, that was a mistake. If you’ve been following my content for a while, you probably know that I’ve always used multiple web browsers—at least two. Chrome has always been my main browser, the one I can’t seem to replace, while my secondary browser has changed multiple times over the years.

For a long time, Microsoft Edge served as my secondary browser and the default option on my system. However, I later found that it was using more system resources compared to Chrome (on specific websites), so I had to stop using it. I then started experimenting with different browsers like Zen and Opera, but none of them were good enough to become my default browser (yes I always set my secondary browser as default). While testing different browsers, I also installed Chrome Beta as my default browser. Even though I continued testing more browsers, I couldn’t find one that worked as well as Chrome. So now, I’m done looking for new browsers—I’ll still test and review them, but I won’t be using them unless they’re truly worth it. 😅

I also have a benchmarking method to quickly determine if a browser is worth using, along with other factors. Watch the video below for more details on my benchmarking process and more insights.
