Microsoft faces antitrust charges from the EU, and OneDrive in Windows 11 automatically backups folders

First news

The EU thinks Microsoft might be playing unfairly with its Teams product. Maybe you don't know this, Microsoft bundles Teams with popular programs like Word and Excel (part of Office 365), So the EU is worried this gives Teams an unfair advantage over similar apps, since people are more likely to use what's already included in a package they pay for.

There are ongoing discussions between the EU and Microsoft. Microsoft is looking for solutions to address the EU's concerns and avoid potential fines. If Microsoft loses the case, they could get a big fine and have to change how Teams works.

2nd news

Windows 11 now automatically enables OneDrive folder backup for certain folders during initial setup, This means your Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders might be uploading to OneDrive without you realizing it. This can be a good thing for data protection, but it can also be inconvenient if you don't want those folders backed up or don't have enough storage space on OneDrive.

Extra Tip:

If you wanna avoid OneDrive automatic backup you should install windows 11 using Local account and then uninstall the OneDrive, And after that if you wish to use Microsoft account instead of local account you can do that. And this time since Microsoft OneDrive isn't on the system it won't be able to back up your folders.
