KVM Now Runs Smoothly on Windows 11

You Won't Believe It: KVM Now Runs Smoothly on Windows 11

KVM stands for Kernel-based Virtual Machine. It is a free and open-source virtualization technology that allows a Linux kernel to function as a hypervisor. This means that you can use KVM to create virtual machines (VMs) on a Linux host machine. And this thing is only available for Linux. But thanks to WSL you can also run this on Windows PC, Not only run, it is actually functional and works. Almost two years ago when I tested KVM on Windows using WSL it was really bad the performance was poor. But now it looks like WSL has gotten better, Yes KVM on windows 11 now performs really well.

I think it's because of the CUDA support for WSL, CUDA on WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) allows you to leverage NVIDIA's GPU acceleration technology within the Linux environment on Windows. In simple words it can utilize the GPU and and get high performance.

I have made a video in this topic so you should watch the video down below for more information.

Click Here to download WSL Toolbox from Microsoft store

WSL Toolbox is a free and open-source application designed to simplify managing your WSL  distributions. really useful 😊free tool if you use WSL.
