Windows 11 24H2 won't allow customization and old apps
Microsoft is making some big changes in Windows 11 with the version 24H2, you can't customize it using third party apps, you can't run old programs and more.
Microsoft has a list of apps that it considers incompatible with the update process. This can include apps that might cause conflicts with the new Windows version or that could potentially harm your system.
Some popular apps on the list include:
StartAllBack (a tool for customizing the Start menu)
EaseUS Disk Copy (a disk cloning program)
ExplorerPatcher (a tool for tweaking File Explorer)
iCloud Services (Apple's cloud storage app)
Even some driver software like Realtek audio drivers or AMD Radeon software
( source DeskModder )
There are also workarounds in some cases, like updating drivers or renaming an app's installer to bypass the block. However, these workarounds aren't officially supported by Microsoft and could cause problems.
I have made a video in this topic so watch the video down below for more information.
Windows 11 LTSC
There have been leaks around the Windows 11 LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) version recently. Preview build (reportedly build 26100.1) of Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC surfaced online earlier in April 2024. This leak offers a glimpse into the upcoming Windows 11 LTSC update, expected for the second half of 2024.
Windows 11 24H2 RTM
Build number 26100 is considered the main candidate for RTM status. Microsoft released it to Insiders in the Dev and Canary channels in early April 2024. If there are no major issues, this could be the final version sent to manufacturers (OEMs) for pre-installation on new devices. The RTM build (possibly 26100.x) might be delivered to OEMs in mid-2024 for pre-loading on new devices launched later this summer or fall but The full Windows 11 24H2 update, including new features, is expected in September 2024.
Extra: I'm actually planning to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 RTM as soon as it comes out so follow me on YouTube for updates.
