Microsoft is testing free, ad-supported version of its Office

Microsoft has quietly introduced a free, ad-supported version of its Office suite for Windows users, allowing access to desktop applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint without a subscription. This version includes a persistent ad banner within the apps and restricts file saving to OneDrive, with no option to save files locally. Additionally, many advanced features are locked behind a Microsoft 365 subscription. To use this version, download the Microsoft 365 installer, launch an Office app, and choose to continue without signing in.

Microsoft has not officially announced the release of a free, ad-supported version of its Office desktop apps. Reports indicate that the company might be currently testing this version, which includes advertisements and limited functionality.

I also tried testing this version of Office but it looks like it's not available for me or in my region, you can watch the video down below for more information.
