Microsoft Begins Automatic Rollout of Windows 11 24H2 Update

Microsoft Begins Forcing Windows 11 24H2 Updates

Microsoft has started automatically updating eligible Windows 11 Home and Pro devices running versions 22H2 and 23H2 to version 24H2. This change primarily impacts PCs not managed by IT departments, meaning home users and small businesses are most likely to encounter the automatic download.

The update is downloaded in the background, but users will receive a notification to schedule the installation at their convenience. It’s worth noting that this update process may take longer than previous ones, so scheduling it at a convenient time is recommended.

While users can postpone the update, Microsoft advises installing it to take advantage of the latest features and security enhancements.

If you'd prefer to delay the update, you can pause it by going to Settings > Windows Update and choosing how long to pause updates. However, once the pause period ends, the update will resume automatically.

If you need more time to prepare yourself for the Windows 11 24H2 update then watch the video down below, and learn how to delay this update.
