Windows 11 is getting a new Android app store, Goodbye WSA and Amazon app store

Windows 11 is getting a new Android app store...

So as we all know Microsoft is ending the support for Android apps on Windows 11 (WSA) in March 2025, This was actually the most hyped feature of Windows 11 and now sadly Microsoft is killing it 🥲.

But recently Microsoft and Tencent have partnered to bring Android apps to Windows 11. This partnership focuses on making Tencent's app store and its apps available on the Microsoft Store in China. So for now we don't know if this is going to become a global thing or not but it's going to be a thing in china for sure 😊. Tencent is a big company, it's a Chinese internet and technology company that provides a wide range of services through its subsidiaries. There is this really popular Mobile game called PUBG, yeah they are the maker of this game.

So there is already a program from Tencent called "Tencent App Store" which actually works like WSA and has some extra features like the keymaping for games etc. It doesn't actually reflect the WSA but in my testing it looks better than WSA with all those extra features, like the keymaping. Yes I downloaded the Tencent App Store and tested it, but sadly this app is only available in Chinese language and another problem is as of now it's not confirmed that if this is going to be available globally or not.

They also have another Software called Gameloop, a Android emulator to play android games on PC and this is actually available globally and supports multiple languages. So there is a possibility that Tencent App Store might also become a global thing 😊.

I have also made a video in this topic so watch the video down below for more information.
