 Thanks to AI all Windows PC will become slow, here's why

AI is growing really fast and with that Microsoft is adding more and more AI features to Windows, to use those new AI features we need more processing power but no need to worry if your CPU has a NPU. A Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is a specialized hardware component that can accelerate the execution of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms.

Now here we need to worry little bit because until now almost no CPU has NPU, unless you buy a new CPU, for example the Intel® Core™ Ultra processors these chips include an integrated neural processing unit (NPU). but guess what these chips were released just recently on December 14, 2023, which means not everyone going to have NPU because not everyone has the new Intel chips 😂.

So I'm pretty sure the next Windows version or update will require you to have a NPU for all the new AI features or the AI features won't work, or even if they work they will work slow on chips without NPU.

My thoughts: I'm pretty sure NPU will become a must have component to use Windows AI features in future, this is the beginning of AI PC era. Slowly the chips without the NPU will become old for this new era.
