Appcopier: Backing Up Windows 11 Preferences and Settings Without the Cloud

Backing Up Windows 11 Preferences and Settings Offline with Appcopier

Windows 11 comes with a new backup app, but it's not for everyone. Some users are critical of its reliance on the cloud, and its lack of flexibility. If you're one of those users, then you might be interested in Appcopier.

Appcopier is a new, open-source application that allows you to back up and restore your Windows 11 preferences and settings offline and locally. It's still under development, but it has the potential to be a great alternative to the Windows Backup app.

Appcopier works by creating a backup of your registry, settings files, and other important data. You can then restore this backup at any time, if you need to.

I have made a video in this topic so watch the video down below for more information.

Extra note: Appcopier is still under development, so it may not be as feature-rich as the Windows Backup app and it is a bit more technical than the Windows Backup app, because it creates a .reg files as a backup file, so it may not be for everyone.
