Intel says Windows 12 is coming in 2024

Intel's CFO, David Zinsner, said during a recent investor call that the company is optimistic about the PC market in 2024, due in part to the expected Windows refresh.

"We actually think '24 is going to be a pretty good year for client, in particular, because of the Windows refresh," Zinsner said. "And we still think that the installed base is pretty old and does require a refresh and we think next year may be the start of that, given the Windows catalyst."

However, there is no reason to doubt that Intel's claims about a Windows refresh in 2024 are accurate. Microsoft has released a new version of Windows every three or four years for the past two decades, and there is no reason to believe that it will break that tradition with Windows 12. (Maybe just the Windows OS coming instead of Windows 12).
